Surrendering a Pet
Our mission at Clancy’s Dream is to bring help and hope to Border Collies in times of need. We work with local families to provide assistance and resources to find the best and most affordable way to keep their Border Collie happy, healthy and at home.
Before a decision is made to give up your pet, it may be possible that we can offer medical assistance as well as other alternatives to surrendering your dog. Please contact us directly at 812-988-4656 and ask to speak with Kenny Shuck or complete the Veterinary Care Release Form to apply for medical financial aid.
Clancy’s Dream encourages responsible pet ownership; however, if a family decides that they must give up a beloved pet, we are here to help. We offer kindness, compassion and understanding to owners who make the heart wrenching decision to relinquish a pet(s) and we provide a warm welcome to the animals entrusted into our care.
Please complete the Pet Owner Relinquish Form. We will do our very best to work with you; however, Clancy’s Dream may decline to accept an animal based on a medical issue that may ultimately result in death or social issues that may make a dog unadoptable. These are two reasons that may lead to a denial and we must discuss each dog on a case by case basis before accepting a dog. Our goal is to find a safe environment and healthy home for all Border Collies in our care.
Medical Assistance for Border Collies in Need
Clancy’s Dream is dedicated to helping local families who are unable to afford medical help to care for a sick or injured Border Collie. Financial aid from our foundation must be viewed as a stopgap measure. Clancy’s Dream does not simply “pay bills”; instead, we work with the family to find the best and most affordable way to keep their pet.
The level of medical financial aid that Clancy’s Dream may provide depends upon a number of factors including the type of illness or injury, the course of action needed and foundation funds available at the time of the request. Financial assistance to cover treatment is paid directly to the veterinarian providing care.
Please complete the short form below and we will respond within 24 hours. At that time will will require much more detailed information including your pet’s medical history and your Veterinary Clinic.[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]
